Worst Handgun you've ever owned....

A Uberti SAA clone was the worst for me. I bought it new and it was beautiful nickel plated and perfect. First shot the nickel started parting ways with the cylinder and it only got worse. Uberti would take no action or even respond. Took a beating on it but got rid of it and won't have another Uberti.

Worst gun for me was a Colt King Cobra, 6" bull barrel.

Nothing wrong with the gun, it was the shooter!

I was never able to get comfortable with the grip angle.

It's not my Keltec 3AT, but it's close! That gun is just ugly! Sorry Keltec guys :D

At the bottom of my list was my Keltec PF9. It was the worst! I had a P11 that was "ok" and maybe I should have kept it, but for some dumb reason, I had to have a PF9. The PF9 magazine would release when I shot it. It might have been caused by my grip, and probably was, but for whatever reason, it didn't work for me. I lost confidence in it. I traded it for an SA XDSC and l love it! Best gun I've ever carried! It's not "pretty" but it is a exceptional firearm.

I still have the 3AT, but it is so ugly I have to keep it covered up. I only carry it when I'm going to the dentist office or somewhere I have to deep conceal.

I'm going to have to buy a pretty gun someday so I can show it to my friends and family :screwy:.

For me the worst gun was a Kahr K40. I bought it used for a damned good price, so that should have been a clue. The trigger pull was horrible, even for a Kahr and it would barley make it through a full mag before it would jam in one of several ways. Eventually traded it off for a Savge 110 Tactical that is my favorite long gun. So in the end it worked out. But I have never bought another Kahr.

My worst hand gun is my Norinco 9mm. I would be better off to throw it at you than shoot you with it. I keep it to go with my Norinco SKS. That's the only reason I bought it in the first place.

smith wesson 22a. even after return from factory, it makes a great gun for practicing the tap rack bang principal cause it fails ever other round. the wife wont let me get rid of it cause it is hers and she likes it. And why i dont understand she always leaves the range mad cause her gun wont work right......

Taurus M85UL. The center pin on the cylinder would get stuck, rendering the pistol useless. My other was a sigma 9mm. Neither pistols were bad but they were the worst I've bought so far......

I can personally say i've never had a gun that wouldn't go "Bang" everytime i pulled the trigger, But the worst getting to go bang everytime was a high point c9 during the "Break in" process Took it too the range and for the first 100 or so rounds it would jam on about the 5th one in the mag every time but after that broke it down cleaned it and shot thru every one no problem. The 2nd "worst" would have to be a cobra .38 derringer although there were no failures to fire the trigger pull was Horrible with a capital H lol other than that made for a good pocket gun

Another member of the Rohm club. The first (and only) time I shot it, the timing on the cylinder jumped, the third round fired somewhat out of battery, and I have a nice, nasty scar on my trigger-finger knuckle to remind me that there is a difference between an inexpensive gun and a cheap gun, and I had just experienced the latter.

Others may have disappointments and guns they don't like and some may equal, but none can surpass the bad that is a Rohm.

I don't know. 1982 Colt Gold Cup. It never went a full magazine without a jam. Multiple trips to Colt, multiple professional experts looked at it, every type of magazine was tried, every type of ammo. Eventually, I sold it at a loss to someone who fancied himself an expert and thoght he could get it running. He said he had it running once, and invited me to see him shoot it. the first mag went fine! But the second mag had both an ejection failure and an extraction failure. I never heard back after that.

AMT .380 back-up , good for the first round , jamed and bent the brass on all the following rounds. Hey it was a great paper weight.

I've had an AMT .380 :poop: for 12 years and it's never fired a box without a failure. Usually it will not fire a magazine without a problem.

That would be extremely annoying. I would say that gun was simply put a huge lemon. It must have had something out of spec. I did have a Gold Cup though, years ago, that ran great. Used it for bullseye. The Rohm though was altogether bad. They never made anything but a lemon. And worse yet, they weren't simply unreliable. They were downright dangerous.

But, a bad gun is a bad gun and somebody at Colt should have simply taken the gun back and either completely reworked it or given you another one. It's a shame to take a loss on a gun such as that, when even the manufacturer couldn't fix it. Had anyone else done modifications to the gun?

Wow, some of these confessions are truly surprising -- especially the ones about the Kimber CDP II -- I have lusted after this gun for a LONG time, and after reading your comments, maybe not . . . Anyway, my worst gun I actually still have, but I won't carry it. It's a Jennings 22LR, with white pearly grips, and its VERY PICKY about the type of 22LR ammo that you use. I only paid $100 for it, but it looks like the kind of gun that a woman (of ill repute) would carry high on her leg in a garter.

Ruger P95. Junky, rattle pile of ****.

This is what is so fascinating to me about this thread... I have a P95 that is my go-to gun, will shoot anything, never jams, is a lot more accurate than I am capable of, and is built like a tank. I guess it goes to show that, like cars, there are "Monday" guns and "Friday" guns for just about every manufacturer out there.

EAA Windicator .357 Magnum. Had it less than a week, and I shot less than one box of shells. It was completely jammed up and wouldn't open when I sold it back to the store where I bought it. B

My first handgun, a Jimenez .380. It was an impulse buy and when I got home and tried to take it apart I realized how soft the metal was and the thing just wouldn't work. I took it back an hour later and they let me trade it for an FEG PJK-9HP(great first gun!). Funny how even though I didn't have a clue about guns, I could tell that the Jimenez was seriously lacking in quality once I got on the inside.

I've never had a truly bad one...so my contribution is a Taurus PT709 "slim". I cannot hit a human sized target, much less a paper plate, in any consistent manner with that thing. I have others I can call misses with at longer ranges. The hell of it is that I'm sure it's my fault - every other "mistake" I've had at the range could be corrected by me with no changes to the weapon. Me and that trigger just don't get along at all.

I had Failure to Feed problems with about every magazine i tried to fire through that gun. I also sent the gun to a gunsmith who hard chromed it and worked on it, still FTF problems. I didn't waste my time traded it with some money towards a S&W 642. If I have a bad round, it fires on the next trigger pull.
