Hero-Gear: Hero 1911 CBOB w/ New Grips

Ordered a new set of Olive Drab AlumaGrips for my CBOB. Very impressed with the fit and finish as well as the color. I think it really sets off the color of the frame and slide.

"Built" the grips on AlumaGrips' website, only took about a week from submitting my order to delivered to my door. Here are some before and after pics:

Looks very good with both grip setups in my opinion! It looks like a purified battle gun with the alumagrips though!

That is a great looking gun. I'm new to 1911's and have been doing a lot of reading over on 1911forum. How do you like the bobbed tail as far as grip? Do you feel like it changes the angle of the gun in your hand? I can see how beneficial it would be in concealment because the most obtrusive point on my gun is the angled grip poking through my shirt.
