I want some some with some real political Balls to stand up that has some clout and say no.

I want George W Bush to make a speech about it. Every is showing the bumper stickers miss me yet.

we keep seeing Bill Clinton in the news.

Lets hear from W. Since he was in office. I would like for him to weigh in on it.

What exactly does everyone propose we do to prevent this mosque being built? I have to admit that I haven't exactly been following this story. I've been catching bits & pieces about how our politicians should be doing something about it. This is America. The gov has no right to tell someone they can't build a church, mosque, synagogue, etc anywhere they want. That's protected by the same freedoms that Islamic terrorists hate.

Do I think that it is sickening that they want to build a mosque there? Yes. Do I think it's insensitive? Yes. Would I expect vandalism and other sorts of crime commited against the building and those worshipping there? Given the (understandable) hate that many Americans (expecially NYC'ers) feel towards Islam, probably so. I don't care for Islam one bit, but I'll stand firmly for their right to build anywhere the same as I would for a Baptist church.

Are you kidding me? History and the American people have kicked him to the curb. For good reason.

I'm still waiting to find Osama, BTW.

This whole Mosque thing gets my blood boiling. To me it is nothing but rubbing 911 in our face forever when they build this. I know there is no way to stop it. But I have to vent some angry and I am using my words and only my words.

The Baptist haven't murdered 10's of thousands of people, the belief system of these people goes back to early biblical times, they are a violent people, just look at their history in general, don't be fooled

I'm not saying that they should build a mosque there. Personally, I'd be happy if all of 'em fell off the face of the earth. I'm just saying it's not gov's job to stop it. If they did, how could we expect it to end there? What if our Muslim (oh that's right, he says he's not :D) president decided tomorrow that he'd start dictating where the Jews built synagogues?

The simple solution is to let 'em build their mosque... then have somebody fly an airliner into it.

An old airliner, of course. And by remote control.

Seems only fair to me... :D

+1. The ultimate solution.

Well, the video wouldn't play. Darn!

kb4ns, it's not the 1st that's causing this problem. If anything it's the Bloomberg

and crony combination that is. There was a Greek Orthodox Church that they won't

allow to be rebuilt on it's original site(next to former WTC site) that's more telling

than this hideousness. Bloomberg gave the muslims his blessing while denying

permits to the Greek church, that was already there.

I'm beginning to think this yet, another distraction while Obama is doing something

else. Not that it's not a real concern, but it is discrimination and is a pathway to

some kind of special class of rights for muslims. It may never get built, hope that's

the case. Even the unpopular Governor of NY has suggested other land for this. He

sees this as a problem, too, and he's democrat. If the people of NY don't want it,

they can stop it. We'll see. I doubt there's anything anyone else can do about it.

Something else has to be going on, and it has got to be bad.

Wait and see what Israel does, soon. The American people are left in the cold.

Israel has been told to go take a hike by this administration. It could get ugly.

Better go back and read your Bible if you think that Muslims are the only ones with a history rooted in violence. How about when David cut Goliath's head off and took it home as a trophy? How about God having the Jews eliminate their enemies?

Isn't that what one does with enemies? We weren't even around when Islam came

about. So, how did we become their enemy? Emphasis on the word "become". Is it

because we used to defend the Jews? If that's it, then they will get what they deserve.

We should still be defending the Jews.
