USPS job in Knoxville

I used to work for the postal service doing this same position but was layed off 3 weeks ago. I was browsing their site for other job listings and saw one in Knoxville doing the same job I had. The title is City Carrier (Transitional Employee) which is the same job I had here in Bristol. The TE part means you do all the work a normal carrier does, but you don't get benefits or insurance and usually work more hours. Doesn't sound like a very good deal, but the pay is $21.31 an hour.

I would suspect there are quite a few folks in the Knoxville area that would love to take that job making $20.xx an hour and getting about 40 hours a week doing government work.
