NAA Mini Revolver Info

On the Outdoor Channel there is a show called Impossible shots and a guy on there named Bob Munden shot a NAA mini revolver and hit a balloon at 200 yards offhand. He said just because they're small don't mean they won't shoot.

I owned that exact weapon for years and it is an awesome oh sh*t close range weapon. Being a magnum gives ti over 80% stopping power with one shot at less than 15 feet (accuracy being the issue) Any good hollow point ammo will do the job.

Enjoy the gun! I did and miss it every time i see or hear about one. I called it little barking spider..lol.

I dunno 'bout all that now... That short little barrel saps a lot of what makes a magnum a magnum ( velocity ), so in a lot of ways the .22 mag in this gun isn't a great deal better than a .22 lr.

The best reason for even using a .22 mag over a .22 lr in this gun is that the cartridges tend to be better sealed and more reliable, and the muzzle blast can be helpful in persuading an attacker to go away.

For cheap practice and dealing with small pests, the LRs are the way to go though.

I don't remember which model it was. He was carrying it in a little case that looked like a wallet. Really really good show.

My Mini broke my heart today at the range. Took it down to Gun City for a test run. Don't care much for their range as you have to use their targets and you cannot put the targets anywhere but at the far end of the range. It is only about a 50 foot range at that. Anyway, started with the .22lr's and after locating my point of aim, I was able to get center mass hits from 50 feet. Gun functioned perfectly until I started shooting the .22 Mags. About the 3rd shot and the cylinder pin crept forward locking up the action. I thought maybe I have just neglected to seat it properly and tried again. Two shots later and the pin had unlocked and crept forward again. I went thought 50 rounds and had to re seat the pin about every 2nd or third shot. Back to the .22lr and no problem what so ever. Called NAA and spoke with a nice young lady there who said it was probably just a bad pin and offered to exchange it for me. I will be putting it in the mail tomorrow and will hopefully get a new one by next week end. Other than the pin problem, I found the gun to be a very good shooter. And far more accurate that most give it credit.

Before you send it back, make sure there's no lint or grime that's gotten in with the ball in the end of the cylinder pin. There could be unburnt powder or something of the like that's keeping it from pressing up into the detent on the bottom of the gun barrel.

Before you send it back, make sure there's no lint or grime that's gotten in with the ball in the end of the cylinder pin. There could be unburnt powder or something of the like that's keeping it from pressing up into the detent on the bottom of the gun barrel.

No lint or unburnt powder. You cannot force it out without depressing the release button. It doesn't come loose on .22lr, only when shooting .22.mags. I also checked the fit of my friends cyclinder pin in his gun and it fits a lot tighter than mine.
