CHRPC questions

I let my membership expire at CHRPC this year due to family and a move out of the area.

I'm now a bit closer to them and want to join back up.

Do they do enrollment year round? Will I need to attend a meeting and be voted back in?

Or can I just pay my dues again?

Anyone know?

Hey JC, The only thing I can tell you is they do not prorate the membership fee so you'd be better off waiting untill the first of the year to reup.

If you have to have sponsers again, that's no problem.

How much are dues and where is it at? I want some place I can go shoot, not have to attend meetings and listen to a bunch of old farts whine about crap for 2 hrs once a month.

Dr. here's the link to the web site, it'll give you basic directions. Welcome To Cleveland Hunting, Rifle and Pistol Club

I think it's $65 for the year. Don't hold me to that. I only go to a couple meetings a year and they're not really too bad. No cheese, no whine. The whole place is pretty well kept up, with volunteer work days about every 3 months. Mostly general maintenance and clean up. Anytime there is something scheduled you can get in to take a look. (such as IDPA, 3 gun etc.)When the weather cools down we go shoot on Sunday afternoons (not until Oct.). I'll try to hook up with you if you'd like.

I appreciate that. I would really like to join, but with my schedule I'm lucky to be able to go shoot 2 maybe 3 times in a year. I sure don't want to have to "attend" meetings to keep my membership. That's why I let my Chilhowee rod and gun clug membership expire. I don't have time for their mandatory meetings requirement. If I can join without all the baggage please pm me with details on proceedures. Thanks.

Dr, the other option for you could be the Spring Creek range. Its east of 411 in Delano, about 6 miles up Spring Creek Rd. Spring Creek Rd. is almost opposite where you turn west to go to the Amish market. It's a pretty nice range and only $3 for the day. It has a pistol and rifle range.

It's not that much with my gimp discount.

Plus I've not shot any since December so it would be well worth it

You can just renew at any meeting. They didn't require expired members to have references when I was there.
