Is everyone aware that the entire metro interstate system in Knoxville is under 24-7 365 Video surveillance, including Speed sensors and cameras that have easy 1/2 mile zoom capacity??:death:

I just ride up 640 flipping the bird.

If they were going to use the speed sensors to give tickets they would have had me by now too.

+1, seems like 80 mph is the new norm

They are not there to give tickets but to monitor the average speed of traffic.

It makes my radar detector go apenuts every day, right at the Cedar Bluff exit and the Walker Springs exit.

I also use the Smartway website to help route trucks to ensure they miss traffic jams and/or wrecks.

And I watched the repair on the Dragon from the rockslide because of it.

Not that I am a fan of Big Brother... but if he lets me watch over his shoulder, I will.

Yes. The cameras are hard to miss.

They are all over the place here too. GPS companies and map programs like that on iPhones use them for live traffic alerts.

Don't worry, it's coming. First they had to get you used to the red light cameras.

Of course then there's all those ATM cameras all hooked up to networked systems connected to the web.
