Jack Daniels Silver Select

My stepson and myself decided this evening to open my year old Last Bottle of Silver Select, and compare it to the US sold Single Barrel, what we have concluded is that as two squires we find that the Silver Select is the Best whiskey that either of has ever had. There is honestly a difference in the smooth mellowed taste of the 100 proof that the Silver select has, While the Single Barrel is indeed awesome this exported blend is truly the nectar of the Gods. I will stock up on this every time I work as I can bring 2 bottles back:):death:

Jason G I will have your bottle in the next couple of months, only this time you must drink it as I assure you you will love it! The bottle on the left is the exported only Silver Select, I hope this post makes sense as I am working on a good buzz:D

If you know anybody in the Army it is sold in the class VI stores of the Fort. They carry the full line.

I guess I took silver select and single barrel for granted.

Do not feel bad, when I first worked in Trinidad, 8 years ago I turned down 3 bottles in a box at the Duty Free store for $100.00 as I thought it was made overseas:wall:

are you sure that Silver Select is offered at the class VI store? according to the distillery it is only sold abroad in the Duty free stores, although this may apply to military packing stores, that I am not sure of, but if so do yourself a favor and try a bottle, I assure you that it is the best thing to come out of Lynchburg:)

Cheers Steve! Don't drink it all in one night. :taunt: I've got some friends up at Ft. Campbell so I will have them check on the Silver Select for us.

No worries mate, leaving the Silver alone and drinking Hoptober New Belgium beer the rest of the night:cool:

I am at Ft Jackson. They get stuff through AFFES which is all over the world and the class VI is duty free. The best store I have ever been in was at Ft Mcpherson, Ga for

selection. Must be due to all those GO's stationed there.

They carry spirits from all over that you can't buy in the states. I have orderd by the case before.

Interesting a domestic, that for those of us not in the Military can only be brought say over seas and from what you are telling us is some of the best. I am Calling a Not fair on this.

In the words of Bender (from Futurama), this is the worse kind of discrimination, the kind against me.
