+1 to Caveman and West Town Wine and Spirits

Since this does not strictly belong in the "Buyer/Seller Feedback" forum, I figured I would put it here.

A few months back, Caveman put up an offer that if we stopped by his liquor store, West Town Wine and Spirits, near the West Town mall, he would give us a discount... Unfortunately, we were never out his direction when we were looking for booze before, so we never had the chance to take him up on that offer, until today.

Better Half and I were out at the mall to pick up some stuff for our impending European vacation, and were running low on a few consumeables, so we decided to swing by WTWS. We poked our heads in, I introduced myself to Caveman (who told me that I was the first person to avail him of his offer), and grabbed a few things before spending a few minutes at the cash register discussing carry pieces and showing our respective ones off. Then we checked out.

Let me just say, without disclosing too much (Caveman can do that if he wants), that the man is serious about "discounts".

All said, a thoroughly agreeable indivdual (who has some very nice hardware), a great businessman, and someone who just managed to earn my wife's and my enduring patronage in all of five minutes. Simply put, if you are a member of this forum and live anywhere near Knoxville, and are not using this guy for your wine-and-spirit shopping, you are seriously missing out.

UPDATE BECAUSE I AM AN IDIOT: I neglected to remember that Caveman mentioned that he actually has to be present at the store for his discount... M-F, 9-5ish. Sorry .

I had the opportunity to visit Mr. Caveman a while back when I was in Knoxville, and he indeed runs an excellent shop.

Simply put, if you are a member of this forum and live anywhere near Knoxville, and are not using this guy for your wine-and-spirit shopping, you are seriously missing out.

I'd say that's about right. It's worth stopping by just for the people watching and commentary.

I had no idea. I live in Oak Ridge and I am in Ktown at least once a month, Caveman, I am coming for you, to buy something Serious I will have to stop in.
