Got four real reliable 9's now. Just thought I should get one plastic one to see what the fuss was about. I like the M&P better than the Glock, even tho it's a bigger pain in the butt to strip.

Any interest in getting it stippled?

Mike

Maybe. I really like what you did to yours. Since this was a used gun, it was missing the two additional grip pieces. Gotta make sure the grip is sized to my liking first, and gonna have to hit the S&W store to do it.

Put the Apex sear and fpb in there and you will love that M&P 9. Those parts make the trigger butter smooth.

Best source? Trigger is a little gnarly.

I've almost gotten one of these twice now, but something got in my way both times. I've heard lots of good things and fondled a few from time to time.

I spent a little time with it and the G19. I'll admit that I was leaning toward the S&W before I went in. Honestly, I wasn't going to buy either one, and saw the used one with a real decent price as i was getting ready to leave. Out of the 4 9mm's I have, 3 are S&W. If I had to pick a favorite right now, it's still the CZ P01, but by a thin margin. My model 59 will still run with any of them.

I'll try to shove some lead thru this guy before the weekend is over.

I thought I was the only one that wanted 4 9mm's. I have a P-01 and as much as I hate to admit it, a Hi-Point. I want a M&P 9 and a 75B.

I bought my Model 59 new about 30 years ago. Been a fan of S&W autos ever since. I have some other decent defense pistols in other calibers, but I guess I'm a 9mm fan

Me too. I know 9mm gets a lot of ribbing by the "nothing that doesn't start with a 4" crowd, but I like them a lot. I may sneak a S&W .38 or .357 into my collection before I get the 2 9mms I want though. I got my eye on a police trade in Model 67 for around $250, but I'd rather hold out for the .357.

Randy is a good guy. The DCAEK is one of the nicest installations I've done on a pistol. A very good upgrade.

Thanks. I trigger is one of the reasons I picked the M&P over the Glock.

Which one is on the pistol now, the small, med, or large? I'm running the medium. Saw you're in Nashville. You're welcome to try the ones I've got rather than buy the other grips just to try. PM me if you want.

Like others have said, the Apex parts really help the trigger.

Thanks for the offer. It's the medium right now. I would like to try the small. They're dirt cheap (under 5 bucks), but Midway and Brownell's are out of stock on the smalls. Right now, it doesn't quite fit as well as my CZ. That's a pretty tall order, but it's worth a shot.

I'll definately do the Apex parts.

Here's a stippling job from one of the members on the MP-Pistol forum. One of the cleanest I've seen.

Here's Mike's - copied from his post.

So, I take it the M&P gets a little slimy when you sweat all over it? That's another plus for the CZ. Good swamp gun.

Mike did a helluva job on his too. I remember the pic, just don't know how to dig it up

This is the latest. I will probably be getting a new backstrap to stipple like I have the frame. I like the dot effect quite a bit more than the lines. Also I will most likely start trimming some, if not all, of the beavertail away.
