quick question i know someone can help

will a Suomi M31 71rd 9mm Drum fit in a Suomi KP 44 9mm??

may be obvious if your looking at one but never seen a suomi kp 44 in person.

I had an m31 (traded it on a ppsh-41), and I've never seen a kp 44, but if my googlefu serves, it appears they were designed to share magazines, and drums with the m31

Yes. It was designed for the inexpensive and excellent 36rd stick mags. But it also takes the 72rd drums as well as the 50rd 'coffin' mags. Don't hold the weapon by the magazine, it will cause jams. Use the barrel shroud. That's why it's there.
