Beretta CX4 Sling

Recommended Posts

I have a Beretta CX4 Storm with an accessory rail. Because I have a flashlight mounted on the bottom rail, I wanted to add a sling to the side rail which I bought a Viiking Tactics L.S.U.A. to do. Beretta has discontinued their original CX4 sling.

I need a sling that connects to the back like this:

I would like it to connect to the bottom and side. Anyone know of a good sling?

A USGI web sling like they use in Appleseed would work. It has a clasp type part to slide over the side part on your CX4 and with a 1-1/4" swivel attached to the bottom it can attach there too.

That is a sweet sling and a lot cheaper than what i've been looking at. I am going to see if the Army Surplus store near me has one.

Hi Lunar

I have not put a sling on my CX4, but have installed this three-point sling on a Colt AR-22, MSAR STG, and a 20" barrel Henry .357 lever gun. Am certain that it wouldn't be difficult to attach this sling to the CX4, since the CX4 is about the same size as the AR-22 and the STG556.--

It is not expensive and seems well-enough made.

It comes with several assorted velcro short straps and string ties and looks like it could be attached to about any rifle one way or t'other. Has a wide adjustment range.

The picture shows the back stock mount via a wraparound, but I only used that method on the Henry. On the other two it was easy to use one of the short velcro-nylon straps to attach to the hardware on the rear stock.

The three-point slings take a little "getting accustomed to". They go under the arm and over the shoulder, and the sections slide against each other so the rifle can be carried behind, pointed down at the side, pointed down at the front, or of course slid up to firing position with the sling 'snug' enough to help hold the rifle steady.

Dunno if it is really that great an idea, because I don't know much about practical rifle carrying. On the downside it is just slightly inconvenient to put the sling on since you have to poke yer head and shoulder thru one of the loops. On the upside, it isn't very likely to accidentally come off, and offers several carry positions without having to adjust anything after it is fitted.
