Came across a "going out of buisness" sale yesterday in Hendersonville

Hello,

I have no affiliation with the store, but just wanted to pass the info on to everyone here. I do not have enough posts logged to place this in the Trading Post, so I thought that I would post it here. It is Hunts in Hendersonville. They are selling everything(except wepons and safes) for 1/2 off. The ammo was priced a little high(when compared to wally world), but after figuring up a 50% discount.....well lets just say they have no more 300wsm, 9mm, or 22lr.....as I cleaned them out of it. I picked up a few other things, but the ammo was what really put a smile on my face as I was leaving.

I thought there were some financial issues when they moved from the old store on Gallatin Road/Nashville Pike. I also couldn't buy any more guns from them as they were always much higher in price than I could find elsewhere the last few years. My family has bought from them over the past 20 years I think or more. I don't know that I can say we are losing an Icon in the middle TN area but it is sad that another gun shop is closing. Might run by there tomorrow and see if I can pick over the bones though to "help" out the final sale.

I drove by there this afternoon. Looks as if safes are 30% off and firearms are 15%.

Just down the road in a little strip mall complex at the corner of Gallatin Road and New Shackle Island. Its in that low area where there was a Lumber yard years ago.

Hunt's really went down hill after the Hunt family sold it. I can't say I'm surprised they are going out after having seen both sides.

not sure what they would have left for sale. I went by there a couple of days after the OP and they were down to 1 6" revolver and a couple of rifles. Place was hard to find...maybe part of the reason for bad business?
