This isn't a stock item I ordered.

20 inch barrel, Chrome - Moly , chrome lined

Full fluting

Up graded gas block

Carbon Fiber hand guard

Titanium Nitride coated carrier assy

So I imagine that a stock upper would be done quite a bit sooner.

I heard that DPMS is 160,000 rifles behind right now....1 year on factory built rifles and 2 year waiting list on custom built guns....you would think they would consider investing in some more manufacturing capabilities...lol

Not sure I'd wait that long for a DPMS....they are decent guns sure, but you could build something comparable in much shorter time.

I do have a DPMS LR-308 AP4 that I love...I only waited 5 minutes while the background check went through for it

I have had great results with their products. Have a few ARs with their barrels (or complete uppers) in 223 and 308.

Ordered a 20" 308 upper July 25th. Called last week to check on it. UPS will deliver Fri. Pays to call them.

BTW - they said 10% discount for Military and free shipping.

Last I heard there was only a 3 month wait on stock guns, but I have no clue with customs.

Finally heard from them (DPMS). Okay, I fess up, I called them.

My upper gets shipped tomorrow 11/17. Only 3 months and a few days from when I ordered it.

The biggest hold up was the chrome lined barrel. They don't stock those and they don't send them out individually to be done when an order comes in. They wait for 'several' to be ordered and then send them out.

If I hadn't ordered the chrome lined, I probably would've had it inside of a week. Didn't know that and they didn't tell me that until today when I called and asked (again) about when my order would be shipped.

Anyway, it should be here by the end of the week. But I'm gonna be out of town do won't be able to do anything with it until I get back next Tuesday.
