I am going to be upgrading my PT111 for the XD. I will be using this as a CCW weapon but I can't find many reviews from folks that carry these. I was wondering if any of yall carry one of these and could give me some input. Thanks in advance.

I can't speak for the compact, but for quite a while I carried the XD 45 Service. Essentially the same gun sans the full-length grip.

It still is my bedside queen. 100% reliable. Easy to shoot, good ergonomics, decent trigger.

Ease of concealment depends, as in all cases, on quality rigs and size / shape of bearer.

I give it a +100. I still carry it often, especially in colder months in a owb rig.

I believe you'll be well pleased.

I carry an XD45C in a small IWB. The double stacked mag is a little thick, in general, but not uncomfortable. Lots of folks go with a crossbreed supertuck or one of the MTAC models. I'm considering one of these soon. Some of the single stacked 1911s or polymer framed guns are easier to conceal and I would think more comfy but the XD works. It is an extremely easy, reliable platform with a large capacity of .45. I really like the flexibility of capacity change with just a magazine. When I'm not carrying with the compact mag it's my nightstand favorite with the full sized mag. If you're looking for a new one I'd watch Bud's Gunshop online. They are usually in stock in the very low 500 range. Seems like I've seen them run once or twice for 499.
