How to insert a YouTube video into a post

I see a lot of links to Youtube stuff here. It is simple to insert the thing.

save the link to the video by right clicking and hitting save link

then click on this icon

then insert the link.

Simple.

If I made a mistake or if someone has a better explenation please feel free to put it out here

With the exception of rules for Jackdm3, they look good Mike

For Jackdm3, you need to go to your command prompt and use this video insertion command C://format C: when the prompt asks you to post your video just type Y for yes....

After that last Pelosi post....you need your own way to post...

you dont have to even save the link. you can just highlight the link at the top and click ctrl + c then click the insert video button and hit ctrl + v

THANK GOD! Hopefully this will be stickied and all will be forced to READ AND UNDERSTAND. I love the "Gotta Check This Out..." Stuff and you have to sift through adds to get to the video

I am bad with keystroking a PC to make it do stuff, so I gave mouse instructions.

I am sure the keyboard instructions will light a bulb for someone.

It works using the icon dialogue, yes.

Used to work with URL only just pasted into post.

yeah there it is. When I first saw tungstens post the video did not show up, just a clickable link.

Now it is there.

And like OS pointed out you used to be able to just paste the url into the text box and the vid would show.

Since the update you had top click the video icon and then paste.

That's the fact. Thus the need for an insert video tool.

There are some vids that prohibit embedding on other other sites, and I think any YouTube video has that option by the uploader, in which case only the link would still show, or you might get a still image from the vid, but it won't play from the button in image, have to click the link on top of the frame to go to site where vid resides.
