Personally I go to Bass Pro to buy the bulk Remington UMC. I know Walmart sells some bulk but I don't shop at Walmart anymore so I can't comment on those.

I have heard that Bass Pro for bulk 9mm and .45 has good prices.

Is their ammo any good? I've been kinda leery buying ammo called "canned heat".

I have shot their .45 and .38 Special +P canned heat with great results. I don't have a chrony so I can't say if they have velocity differences but it all went bang and accuracy was "normal" in that I missed as much as I would with factory:)

Ordering a batch of .40 myself tonight.

www.ammunitiontogo.com and www.sportsmansguide.com are usually two of the cheapest for factory stuff.

www.georgia-arms.com has very reasonably prices bulk reloads which perform quite well.

Those are the 3 I stick with, though sometimes I'll pick up a couple UMC 250rd bulk packs from Wally World... but it's certainly not cheaper to do that, it's just more convenient to spend an extra buck or two per box to not have to wait for the UPS guy to show up. Also many dealers and ranges in this area sell Atlanta Arms bulk reloads, which perform pretty good, and are a good buy. I buy a fair amount of .357sig Atlanta Arms from Hero Gear for about as much as I can order anything else... plus I get to drool on the cool toys there.

for ammo i have found that wally-world or sportsmans whse are the cheapst.7 or 8 bucks at both places for 9mm.you may find it a little cheaper online for 1000 rounds of reloads but after you pay the brown man your still cheaper going to WW.

the cheapest reloads i found was around $140.00+- for 1000(6.99 per 50)but that weights to much to save any money!

I usually buy my ammo at WW (100 rounds for 14.95 compared to other places), its not a bad deal there...I havent had any problems with the 9mm ammos there and it works very well. I would recommend it if you are not wanting to cough up $140+ for 1000 rounds.

You mean people actually shoot less than 100 rounds in a range trip??

Hmm, I'll have to try that some time.

In the mean while, can two or three of you come over and help me load up my little ammo box? I can't seem to lift it anymore!!!

I bought a G19 from Coal Creek Armory about a year ago...LOVE IT! It was really a good deal on it so I suggest you check it out before you consider any gun shops. The guy that helped me with my purchase was nice though. Let me know if you got any questions.
