I recently acquired a new addition to the family (my dream gun) and need to find a holster to fit it that wont break my budget or my waist. This obviously won't be my EDC so it doesnt need to be something flashy or super tactical. Are there any other owners of this behemoth on here who have experience with outfitting it?

I have a friend in Houston Texas that had one hell of a time finding a decent Holster for his, he contacted Milt Sparks after my recommendation and about a year later had a fine custom OWB holster

I was afraid the pickings were gonna be slim... I don't intend to cheap out on accesories for this one so I'd definatly be willing to get a custom one made.. I'll have to give them an Email, thanks for the info!

I would suggest you also aquire a good double layer gun belt to go with your holster. With a larger gun, the quality belt is essential. Without it, you won't be happy with the finest holster available. Cool gun!

I hadn't thought about a heavier belt. Good point! :D And I think the holster you linked Kegger will end up being the one I have ordered. Getting a holster that won't become misshapen after steady use is important for such a heavy gun.

Any Hi-Point holster should work perfect.

Is the size difference in the Desert Eagle and something like a HK Mark 23 still pretty significant?

That depends. Width wise the USP isn't far off however the DE is longer and has a bigger grip. The basic nylon holster available for them appears to be nothing more than an extra wide target length holster with the little Desert Eagle logo embroidered on it. I've tried fitting it in several holsters and so far the main problem has been the width of the gun and grip/trigger guard shape.

I believe the USP and the Mark 23 are different handguns. The Desert Eagle is probably still a bit bigger, but I remember the Mark 23 I saw was pretty massive.

My buddies uncle had twin DE .357's. Only way he could carry them reliably was with a double vertical shoulder rig. I'm pretty sure that was a total "Mall Ninja" way of sporting them, but I will have to admit it was impressive as hell.
