M-TAC 1911 holster

Recommended Posts

Just got the M-TAC holster for my 4" Kimber 1911, and I must say it is very comfortable. I had be using the Galco Summer Comfort which worked good but with a heavy gun it was cumbersome and pulled my pants down at the conection point. So for anyone wondering, if your gonna carry IWB, Id recomend this holster. Just sayin :(

+1. I carry my Dan Wesson in a Comp Tac Spartan, and have a MTAC for the new G19. I'm very pleased with the product and have recommended it many times.

I just ordered one for my new gun, its a Sig P229. Hopefully it carry good because it is a little heavy but I think I'm in LOVE.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the MTAC. The holster does a good job of distributing weight.

I actually prefer the CTAC. I've used both but I prefer the full kydex holster body for better weapon retention (better positive snap upon re-holstering). I also found the large leather backing on the MTAC to cause me to sweat even more than with just the CTAC. The MTAC is cool because you can change holster bodies to different pistols but everyone I know that has owned one (myself included) found it to be a PITA to change them out and it took too long to do frequently. In the end I always ended up with multliple full MTACs rather than swapping out bodies. It defeated the purpose. The CTAC used to be $60 whereas the MTAC was $80. Comp-Tac recently changed the pricing on the CTAC so they are now both $80.
