Ive always despised Donahue. He was/is/always will be a died-in-the-wool commie.

I wish he "woulda fell down some steps" a long time ago, the rat bastard. Ole Milton completely owned him in that vid.

Great video. First let me say this...Phil was one of the original liberal TV host d-bags. That being said, I guess I'll give Phil some props for at least letting him speak. Nowadays it would have been the liberal host screaming at Friedman for being an idiot. That's the main difference I see between today and back 20-30 years ago. The left and right had their differences, but mostly the banter was somewhat respectful and civilized. Today it's a Morrie Povich episode whereever you turn and it goes both ways.

If you remember, Phil, for a long time would always let his guests speak.

He would try to get his argument across and win, but someone like Friedman

or Ayn Rand would never let him win. They used rational arguments, something

his side can't win. That's probably why he quit interviewing people like that.

He always scratched his head and looked up at the ceiling while they would talk

and try to gather a foothold, but a guest like that usually won. I have an old

black and white interview of him with Rand. Very enjoyable, and she is a hard

pill to swallow in front of the camera. She did the same thing Friedman did.

I am shocked at all the Phil hate going on. He did give the guests in these two video's plenty of uninterrupted time to make their case, which often went against his opinion. No talk show host today seems to be that open. I don't know much about his politics but he did treat these guests very well.

I don't hate Phil. Like you said, he had these interviews when others

wouldn't dare broadcast. That's to be applauded. I think the "hate Phil"

attitude stems from his ideology, not his interviews. It was funny to watch

him squirm.

Absolutely. Same thing today. Of all the people who disagree with the likes of Obama and his gang, 99.999% disagree with his ideology, and yet they are labeled racists and bigots. It's just a reflection of Obama, Pelosi, etc. and their attitude, not those who oppose them.
