Hi guys, kinda new here, I have been shopping around for a place to start doing buisness with in the cookeville area.

Outdoor junction had a large inventory but the prices were quite out of porportion.

Kwik Kash pawn had a terrible used inventory with prices being as high as new guns.

I did find a place called daves pawn shop, the inventory was so/so but the prices seemed great, as well as the young short haired guy who seemed to be the "gun guy" there, answered every question in a knowledgable and friendly manner. I was wondering if any one else here has dealt with daves in cookeville and can give me some feedback on the quality of their stuff/customer service/ ect.

Welcome streakin406, to the TGO forum. I haven't dealt with Dave's in Cookeville, however, I have dealt with Outdoor Country in Gainesboro.

Larry is a great guy to deal with and he usually has great prices on his inventory.

I have always been treated fairly and he will order whatever fits your needs.

It's about 23 miles, give or take, from Cookeville. 931-268-2799 :D

I should, worked in a gun store for 4 years of college, even though we had competition I still understand someone wanting to do something they enjoy, and here is a secret- Everyone in the gun buisness is there to make money, no one that has a FFL is ever going to take a loss on a firearm. Not the smart ones anyway.

But to keep thread form getting crazy, went back today, bought a Glock 36 to finish the .45 collection. They have some really nice guns, young guy is very gun and self defense savvy, must military ot LEO at sometime, I do know he shoots IDPA. or has shot. They had a killer m77 heavy barreled .223 on consignment, and probably 60 handguns, 80 longguns or so, new and used, good prices, I will be back for more. Just kind of answering my own question from page 1 there..

You have finished a .45 collection or you have finished a Glock .45 collection?

A finished .45 collection would be a magnificent thing to see... if it could ever happen :2cents:
