I know Mike from BRKT. Solid guy, great product. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on an STS-5 pretty soon. It's a badass tactical knife, and a good general purpose knife to have around.

That's a beaut for sure! Nice pick up. I actually just screwed up and put a very similar bowie( spalted maple handle instead of that gorgeous antler) into my kneecap a couple weeks back. Kneecap suffered a whole lot more than the knife.

I've got several Barkies including a few I made myself a a few grind ins up there. I certainly can't say a bad thing about any of them, and have used them hard for all those tasks they were/weren't designed for. All of them have held up great to whatever use they got put to. Mike Stewart and his whole staff are top notch folks with plenty of skill to share. Mike is also a really fine cook, and a hell of a talker, great stories to tell.

I've been lucky to meet a bunch of knife industry folks and if I had my choice to sit down and have a couple beers with one and chat, I'd be hard pressed to look for anyone other than Mike.

synghyn: You a member over at Jerzee Devil forum? Mike is a regular contributor there as well as a moderator. He's one of the most knowledgable people on knives I've had the pleasure to talk to, and I've been around the knife making world for a bit as an avid collector/user.
