It's not a rifle, but . . . MY NEW MUSTANG

It's not a rifle, or even a 1911, but here it is . . .

My newest addition to the stable, a '91 Mustang LX 5.0. Fourth Mustang, and they've all been Fox hatches. Those of you who know me from TNSpeed might remember my green and white '89, with a ton of suspension and brake mods, Bullitt rims, and a single-turbo kit.

This car is frighteningly stock, and I'm the second owner. It has a drop-in K&N filter and early 2-chamber Flowmasters, both installed early on, and dealer-installed 3.55's--installed in like '93. 124k original miles, never wrecked, no paint damage . . . it still has the factory air silencer and tapedeck/equalizer, for pete's sake.

Short term mods, it's getting a set of headers, off-road X pipe, and minor suspension mods, and I'll eventually put in a CD player, when I get tired of listening to a V8. I'm keeping a few things out of the '89 -- the TKO and accessories, rear seat delete, and Cobra intake, mainly -- so those are going on the car when I get time, too. Doing some minor cosmetic things as well, like 1-piece headlights, pulling off the "5.0" and "LX" emblems, and 93 Cobra/SVO taillights.

Due to oft-repeated threats from KimberChick and several family members, I won't be going all-out on this one like I had planned for the '89. Long term mods MIGHT include a 331/turbo combination, backed by a T56, if KC doesn't read this and kill me before then. Definite mods, though . . . 93 Cobra R brakes (13" front, 11.65" rear) and some kind of 94+ rims, most likely Bullitts or something off the '10-11 cars, and a "Florida 5.0" gauge cluster.

Yeah, FR500 style looks good . . . that's actually what I'm considering, but the ones on the '11 MCA edition V-6. They're 18x8 and look a lot like the BBS "RK" which is what I originally wanted. I wouldn't mind getting rid of the black mouldings, but I'd have to totally repaint the car. It will either stay white, with white mouldings, or dark shadow gray--which is probably the sexiest color Ford has ever produced the Mustang in.

That's a nice clean hard to find in original condition car. I'd beg you to keep it stock and take care of it. It'll be worth a wad in a few years. Nice score!

Im more of a chevy man but, the 5.0 Mustang is the best sounding out of the box car I have ever heard.

Congrats
