Anyone shoot or shot a gun with trench sights. I'm still up in the air between a 3" and 4" 1911 from Kimber, but am also considering a Colt New Agent. Basically the same size as the Kimber Ulta II, close to the same price and weight is almost equal. Big difference I have found is that the Kimber has 3 point sights, while the colt has a trench sight. Looks like it would be a little easier to conceal, but I've never shot with these.

That being said, I will most likely install laser grips sometime after I get it, so should this be a huge factor in deciding?

I've shot Smith snubs and fixed sight guns that were pretty much what you describe. It will depend on what kind of shooting you want to do with it. For bullseyes at 20 yards or more the conventional type will work better. For fast up close work the trench sights will do better. Also less to go wrong or snag.

Add a laser sight and that ought to take care of longer range shots as well.
