Next EDC poll.

So I have time to think about what gun to get for my next EDC, so give me you opinions. I prefer a full size or mid size with a low bore axis. Of the ones listed I have owned, carried, and liked all except the SR9 but I like it from handling it in the store. I've had a regular FNP but not the FNX. Glocks are not listed for a reason, although I've had three at different times and I've liked the 3 XD's I've had but the higher bore axis just doesn't work as well for me.

FNX9 - LOVE the looks (two tone), feel, ergos, and ability of C&L. Hammer is a big plus.

M&P9 - Really like the two of these I've had although the triggers can be iffy.

SR9 - feels and looks good (two tone) but some of the initial quality issues/recalls are of concern. As well as the reported less than stellar trigger.

Walther P99 - great ergos but too pricey new.

My vote goes to the M&P9. All of the S&Ws I've handled shot well and above all else felt very nice in the hand.

Put the Apex parts (fpb and sear) in your M&P9 and you will smile everytime you shoot it. It makes the trigger smooth as buttah.

Looks like the M&P9 took it by storm. I'm getting ready to take the "plastic plunge" myself, and the M&P is leading the pack for me so far. I'll probably get a trigger job done if I get one.

Out of all those, the M&P would probably be best for carry. have you considered the M&P9c. The grip is surprisingly full for a compact.

The SR9 fits my hand like a glove, and feels like a commander size 1911, which is a very good thing. It comes out of the box with a decent trigger, excellent adjustable sights, and you can pick up a Viridian green laser for it at half price right now. I'm a glockaholic, but my SR9 feels better than my Glocks do in my hand. Very thin. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I were picking a carry 9. Mine has been flawless, although the safety and mag release were tight at first, they wore in quickly with an evening of tv watching and button fiddling.
