The NRA certainly has it's faults, but it's the last best chance we have to continue to be able to legally own firearms. I am the NRA.

Do it. I renewed mine a couple months ago. They can be a little annoying sometimes, they do alot for our right to keep and bear our firearms though.

As others have mentioned, the NRA is far from perfect. However, without them we would have no voice lobbying for our rights. I did the Easy Pay Life membership. 25.00 per quarter until the membership is paid for. My rights are worth the monthly price of a fast food meal. Besides, I could do without the fast food. :-)

Like everyone said, for all their faults the NRA still fights for our 2nd amendment right.

If they endorse Harry Reid, I'm done with them.

Been a member longer than I can remember...

I say do it. I got a DVD in the mail the other day, if I kept it, I would be billed X amount, or I could tear it open, take it out of the case, put it in the return envelop and send it back on their dime. I don't like that. That is why I canceled my B.A.S.S membership. With that said, they do a lot of good for us and are really the largest, and loudest, voice on a national/state level.

Pay. NRA is not perfect but it is the main voice in your right to keep and bear arms.

+1.

Btw, I think Mike was implying that the Big O would not want you to. So then you must.

Yes indeed, the NRA has it's faults. But right now there is no other entity that has enough political clout in Warshington D.C. than the NRA.

If not them....then who???

Pay.

I think he's hoping a "tax payer" one of us, will buy him one! He knows the reasons to join. Just not used to having to pay for something.

Since I cannot add anything that hasn't already been said. I'll just add that not renewing is like firing them. Have they earned your money in your opinion? I'd say their help with restaurant carry, Chicago, and D.C. were worth it alone. For every major victory, I renew for a year even if it isn't time. I am paid up for 3 years now, no joke.

If you don't think it's worth it, let Bass Pro Shops pay your renewal. Jeffmem posted a link (:::BASSPRO NRA SPECIAL OFFER:::) in this forum (http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/43345-national-rifle-association-membership-free-after-25-bass-pro-gift-card.html?highlight=bass+pro) that gets you a year for $25 and BassPro sends you a duffle bag and a $25 gift card.

Stay with the NRA. They do more for us than anyone else. Also take a look at TFA. If you can find a gun show near you then go there and find an NRA recruiter and you can join for $25 rather than $30 plus get a nice cap. We need you and all others who read here. I am a life member and I have never regreted it. Oh yea, they do some things that I wonder about, but some things that folks say they do are not really true after you check it out. So, please join us.

I do not like everything they do but yes I am a member but I am also a member of Gun Owners of America. Never hurts to belong to more than one group of gun rights organizations.
