How do you remove a poly choke?

I have a two part question. I have an older shotgun that's worth a little bit of money. I was wondering if a poly choke decreases the value of it and/or how do you get it off without cutting the barrel? Thanks!

Chances are the barrel was cut before it was installed. You'll probably have to heat it to remove as it was probably soldiered on. Also the threaded bead whole for your front sight was cut off. Probably better to look for a replacement barrel on Gunbroker. JMHO

it does decrease value to a collector. But as always its only worth what someone will pay for it. I believe your other question was answered.

Saw it off or trade it off.:D Yes shotgun barrels are generally worth more without the polychoke. Also, the ventilated rib barrels are more expensive than the plain ones.
