Nice video. I find it ironic that an organization who is against "hate" tried to smear someone who is actually studying it and not just calling everyone who disagrees a racist. It doesn't surprise me though. Its refreshing to see someone, from any side for that matter, actually take on an issue rather than just supporting an agenda.

Had seen Carol Swain on TV occasionally, getting the impression that she is a classy intelligent lady. I wasn't taking close notes, but if memory serves, her earlier appearances seemed to be moderate-liberal or quasi-libertarian viewpoints. She just seemed to be a nice person exemplifying the classic southern virtue "don't be an arrogant jerk".

Her opinions may be evolving somewhat in the path of Pat Caddell, who if pushed will still give lip service to democrats, but seems overall alienated by the modern left agenda.

I didn't web search Swain till a couple of days ago, and noticed her video snips about SPLC on her own web page.

I had made similar conclusions about SPLC awhile ago. Years ago would occasionally send donations to SPLC. It seemed they did some useful work. My first disenchantment a few years ago saw a web site which listed comparative cost/expenditures/collections of non-profit 'charities'.

It showed that SPLC was saving a lot of their contributions for future use. So I decided I could safely send money to other orgs, if SPLC was in good enough shape to be stashing most of my contributions in the bank rather than spending the money on immediate services.

About the same time began to notice that the SPLC 'racist identification' threshold seemed more hair-trigger against borderline-bigoted conservatives or hicks, compared to bigoted liberals or city folk. An "anti-redneck agenda". They spent more ink in their publications, against perceived bigotry in conservative organizations.

One never knows when one is just imagining things, so it was interesting to see that Swain also sees a lop-sided "mission creep" in the SPLC.

Another thing I would wonder about (in my ignorance) is how she is accepted in the Vandy culture. Dunno nothin about Vandy except that they have a pretty campus and a nice hospital. A friend worked two jobs for years to send his daughter thru Vandy, and she turned out such a little commie that after graduation she had to move up north because southerners are just too ignorant and biased to live alongside of.

If Carol is beginning to drift off the liberal reservation, wonder if it impacts her relations in the Vandy culture?

I like her. I can't remember where I've seen her, probably on Hannity, but she is

intelligent and very pleasant to listen to. It is funny about Vandy. She really

doesn't seem to fit in, there.
