no indoor ranges in chattanooga?

I'm moving down there in a couple of weeks and need to know where to go. I saw a sign for a rifle club near the entrance to the subdivision we are moving into (Ooletawah). Any info on that?

Prentice Cooper is a Wildlife Management Area (WMA). Most WMA's have free ranges. There is no catch. Just bring your own ammo and targets and grab a "lane" and start shooting. Only downside is that they can be crowded at times.

Hit Prentice early on Saturday mornings. It's dead until 10ish. The only time I ever had to wait was after sleeping too late. I don't mind going in the rain either. The lanes are covered. You just get a little wet putting up your target...and if that bothers you, you could always shoot at someone else's.

I had the same thing on my EMP after my first session at the range. I didn't have a dremel, so the feeding issues really popped up on my second range session. By the third trip to the range, I had bought a dremel, polished the gunk off the ramp, and the issues have went away. Hopefully a forth trip will come soon, so i can verify my presumptions.

And it only sucks to be your wallet....not you!
