Ever thought of rigging a webcam in the eave so you could monitor your traps? You could stream it live on the internet.

Someone up there in K-town sally forth and DO this for Mike! I would so watch his attic!

They got any glue traps big enough for cats Mike?

He looked hungry so I fed him a .22 LR shotshell for breakfast. It did not sit well with him as he died.

Sorry but that struck me as funny as crap. :P

Probably has something to do with the Yuengling I'm drinking... :poop:

+1 on the Yeungling! That and Amber Bock have been the "after hunting" beverage of choice this season. -2 on thread hijack though.

Maybe a -2 on a normal thread hijack but this one involved beer, which is a +5, so you are a +4.....

:P

I'd like a judgment on this being a threadjacking. My commentary was relevant to the post at hand. Admittedly it was more applicable to the humorous choice of descriptive narrative but it was applicable to the existing commentary involving satiating the hunger of the offending rodent. :poop:

If I got one last night he will be a chipcycle before I can get to him. It is about 12 degrees here now. To cold and dark for me to mess with it this morning. Time to leave for work. I did not hear anything last night but I am still hopeful I got another one.

checked the traps and most of them were empty. Well actually all the ones in the eave were empty, but I left a cage type trap out and caught a little bird. Not what I had in mind.

Dunno if the critters are gone. One of the cats sat on my wifes night stand and stared at the ceiling. Makes me think he hears something we don't he stared at the ceiling for like an hour.

Anyone know what kind of family life chipmonks have? Do so far I have got two adults (mom and dad??) and one youthful one. I wonder do adults gather in groups or do they stick to a basic family unit?

"In 2008 a rogue member of an elite squad went AWOL never to return. He recruited a group of gun forum guys and formed his own elite team. They now make a living hunting rodents in the Tennessee underground. If you have a rodent problem and you can find them, maybe you can hire...The C-Team!"

Don't know about you, but when I hear the phrase C-team, I am not thinking about chipmonks...:tough:

funny Punisher.

Heard some footsteps earlier while I was on the porch. I am thinking mouse on this one though. They were pretty light on their feet compared to others I have heard.

Maybe it was a gay chipmunk. :DROTFLOL

I yanked # 4 out of the eave just a bit ago. I thought I heard something up there last night when I was standing on the porch. I tapped at the eave and sort of chased the noise down the eave toward the trap. The noise stopped. I checked it after getting home today and there was a little chipmonk stuck on the trap. He must have worried himself to death. I was dissapointed he did not appear hungry. I was ready to feed him as I had the rest of his family.

So that makes two adults, two juveniles and two mice so far.

Punisher if you ever make it out this way let me know, I can show you how we roll in the 865. Never a dull moment at the house in the woods!

My wife said she thought there was a donkey off to the side of the house this morning. She said it was way louder than what we usually hear from the ones down in the cow pasture. I looked around after burial detail today but saw no signs of a donkey.

I may take you up on that! I plan on putting some serious miles on the bike this summer.

No Christmas Truce like they had in 1914.

I heard some thumping this morning coming from the left side trap. Went to take a peak and their was a big ole chipmonk stuck on the little glue trap. He was fighting like all hell to get off. But no luck for him. He was a fiesty little devil. he had a hold of something up there and near came off the glue trap when I went to pull it out. Had to shake it a bit to get him to let go.

He did not take very well to the .22 shotshell and I had to have a solemn burial service for him a few minutes later.

Count to date, 5 chipmonks and two mice.

PS: They are skeeving me out less and less each time I yank one out.
