"The solution to the problem is IPv6, which uses a 128-digit address. It would give everyone in the world more than four billion addresses each, but most of the internet industry has so far been reluctant to introduce it.

It would require each device that connects to the internet to be reconfigured or upgraded, with some users even being forced to buy new hardware, the Sydney Morning Herald reported."

Does this mean the government will give coupons (like they did for TV converters) to buy new stuff? :P

You have to not pay taxes to receive those.

I saw on the news the other day that pornagraphic websites will soon be allowed to use a ".xxx" domain. Shoot, it ought to be mandatory for them to use the ".xxx" - right now it's too easy to stumble accidentally into a porn site. Or at least that's what I tell my wife... :P

I agree. Once you accidentally click on one of those sites it's hard to get them off of your computer. It's caused me to lose countless hours of sleep some nights, and I've noticed that it's even worse if I'm using my big screen tv as my computer monitor. I don't know what the rest of you have tried to remedy this, but I can say from experience that waiting for one of the videos to stop playing and then clicking on the next video under it will not help you exit from the site. I don't really know what else I should try though....

I wanted to learn more about the internet, but experienced something totally different when I searched for "a series of tubes".....
