Thoughts on Para Ord Carry 9?

I've been trying to find a compact 1911 chambered in 9mm and came across the Para Ordinance Carry 9. Anyone here used it yet or have any thoughts? I know Springfield makes a compact 9mm but I just can't justify spending over a grand on something like this.

I would stay away from the Para. I've never had experience with one myself, but I've heard they have issues with reliability.

On the other hand, I've heard the SA EMP is one of the better of the 9mm compact 1911's.

The only compact 1911 I've had experience with are the Kimber Ultra models. The Aegis is a nice choice, but is more expensive than the EMP.

I would save up a little more and get the EMP.

Don't have any experience with the carry 9 but I have a Para Warthog and a Tac-s. Have had no problems and love them both, very well made 1911's!

Dont have firsthand experience with the carry 9, but Para Ordnance makes some fine weapons. One of my shooting buddies has a couple that I've shot and have no issues with them at all. The LDA series and the Para 14 are what Mark shoots and carries regularly. He like them so much I can't get him into a Springfield 1911, where he should be.
