Hangover cures

I started this thread to stop from derailing the other thread

what is on your adult beverage menu for the evening?

My favorite morning time cure is a pack or two of Goody's Headache Powder and a Powerade.

Seeing as the hangover is mostly from dehydration the Powerade really helps with that.

The Goody's is loaded with caffiene and aspirin so the pain goes away and the eyes brighten.

Now a prehangover cure is a bunch of water and tylenol before bed, but the water always makes me get up all night long to go pee.

Ice Cream and tylenol works real well. I guess it is the sugar in the Ice Cream, dunno, but it really helps.

Lots of water before going to bed to prevent the headache.

If belly problems are an issue a McDonald's double-cheeseburger (if it's lunchtime) or two will set you right. If you happen to be up in the morning a nice sauage, egg & biscuit or two helps. Grease is your friend in trying times.

I undertand not smoking is a sure way to avoid a hangover. Maybe one day I'll find out.

Speaking as a (now ex) pro, hair of the dog is the only sure cure.

Often, quite a bit more of the dog than just the hair.

600mg of Ibuprofen, a Sudaffed and water before you drink... Had a Pharmacist friend tell me this one... And it works.

I have bad migraines with or with out drinking.

Normally I can drink enough water before going to bed after drinking that I don't get a hang over but on the off chance I feel I have a hang over.

I have found my migraine Med Replax really works wonders on them, 2-3 hours later and I am ready to face the day. Also it works just as well on my Migraines if I had not been drinking.

Before that, Greasy eggs, I am talking Waffle House greasy or hardees streak egg biscuits.

1000 mls D5W.

O2 at 15 liters per minute.

Once the bag is done, ready to take on anything. And it only takes about 15 minutes.

2-3 aspirin and as much water as you can drink before you go to bed works great

Not just any aspirin, ANACIN. If that didn't work, it's hair of the dog the next day. Oh, and never Tylenol. That stuff is really hard on your liver and with alchohol, you're just really killing your liver.

Lordy have mercy, Kegger...15 liters per minute...heck bro, I'd OD on H2O at that rate! Or am I missing something here?

I always took Krystals...a 10 bagger to be exact, with a large order of fries...oh, and 3 aspirin before bedtime...worked too. lol

When you're drinking and you can't tell what it is you're drinking, you need to stop.

Before bed, vitamins A, and B12. Aspirin, salt tablets (2). If available, oxygen in the morning. Alcohol depletes the rhodopsin in the eyes. Vitamin A replenishes that. Salt is lost via excessive urination. Aspirin- obvious. B12 I'm not sure about but it helps.
