Yesterday my work afforded me the opportunity to visit and tour Barret Firearms. WOW! Was over a 2 hour visit including a great briefing and fantastic tour. I learned quite a bit about Ronnie Barret and the history of the company. Quite an eye opener. One thing in particular I learned that I didnt know was that they make 5 different guns. I had no idea they made 5.56 and 6.8 variants of the M4 style ARs. They were test firing some of those with suppressors as we got to that point in the tour. Got to fondle some of those guns, but didnt get to shoot them, lol. If you ever get the chance to do this I highly recommend it.

My father has taken a tour of the place when he did some work for them, but other than that I was under the impression that they didn't offer any tours to the general public. I know a guy from NY that comes down from time to time that has been wanting to take a tour of the place for quite some time now. There is or was a magazine that alot of stores around here use to carry that was all Barrett that covers those AR style variants as well as their longer range rifles.

I don't think they do for the general public, but it was a business visit. I also visited the Outpost Armory as well after the tour.

That's what I was thinking. No tour for me as my business will never go in that direction.

I have seen tours at some auctions at a NRA and DU meeting.

I have been through and got an awesome behind the scenes tour with an engineer. Did get to fire the 50 on their little indoor range. 100 yards I think. Neat to see racks of Barrett rifle's lined up to ship.
