Anyone carry a Spyderco Delica?

I've been considering picking one of these up for EDC. I like the WAVE feature and the price isn't too bad either.

Anyone have any feedback they can give me?

And on another note, I'll be posting my brand new Cold Steel Recon 1 in the classifieds to offset the cost of a new blade. The Recon 1 just isn't for me.

I always wanted a Spyderco knife and may have mentioned it to my wife a few months ago. On father's day I got the Spyderco Native (see the link). It is a solid built knife with a good pocket clip and is very easy to open with one hand even without being spring-assisted. It's not the Delica model, but it is an awesome knife. I would highly recommend the Spyderco's...they seem to be stronger and beefier than most knives. Good luck, B

The Delica is a well proven, timeless blade. Of that line, I like the Endura better - but simply because it's a bigger blade. If I were in the market for an Endura today, I'd also consider the Police model.

That said, if I were in the market for a Spyderco right now, my first and second choices would be the Paramilitary and Military in that order. I have carried one of the two of these every day for about three years now, and in my opinion the Military is everything a knife should be - S30V steel, grippy G10 scales, wickedly sharp, easy to maintain, and super fast.

That's my opinion, but if you go with the Delica you are getting a great blade - pick up one of Spyderco's tri-angle sharpeners and you'll be set.

I have not used mine much, but I do carry it everyday. It's light enough that I never notice is clipped to my pocket.

Blade is sharp, clip is strong enough to be secure but not so tight that you cant get it out easily. I dont have the wave feature, wish I did, I use a zip tie which works pretty well.

I've been carrying a Syderco Endura plain blade all stainless for almost a year now. I carry it everywhere I go except for the gym. I looked at the Police models but I thought the endura was a better value. I had to put lock-tite (blue) on the threads to keep the clip screws from working loose.

You can pick them up of ebay used for pretty cheap and then sharpen them.

Get a Spyderco, you will like it.

My first Delica was way back in the molded plastic clip days. I've had more than one and consider them to be good knives. There are a number of variations of them these days.

I've been carrying Spydercos for about 10 years. I currently carry an Endura Waved, bt I'm going to get a waved Delica so that I can comply with knife laws in Illinois (where my folks live).

Value for $, Spyderco is where it's at. I've never had a Spydie I didn't like, and I've beat the crap out of mine, and they still keep going tough. Good move ditching the Cold Steal (That was intentional) for a Spyderco. You'll like a Delica much better.
