Got an email from CMMG today regarding some dedicated .22 options. Check it out.

The Quebec-A .22 Evolution Dedicated Rifle uses a Mil-Spec Upper & Lower Receiver with ceramic finish and is 5.56 Upper Receiver Compatible, meaning you can use any standard 5.56 AR upper with the Quebec-A’s lower receiver assembly.

The Sierra and M4 LE .22 Evolution Dedicated uppers use mil-spec Upper Receivers with a ceramic finish, allowing you to turn your current 5.56 AR into a more cost effective plinker or training rifle.

Thats a good and news worthy option. I prefer to train how I will likely fight so Ill stick with reloading for now so I get the full recoil impulse and muzzle rise/shot recovery. Not that a .22lr upper is a bad option it's just not for me.

for those prices i would rather have the 15-22

I would almost agree with you if it weren't for the fact that the full rifle is 100% AR on the bottom end. You can swap 5.56 uppers onto it and you cant on the MP. I know that these won't be for everbody but they are cheaper than the ATI uppers that I have seen in town and knowing that they are from CMMG means that they will be good quality. It definitely fits my needs even if it doesn't fit everyone else's.

WOW. I paid $530 just for my TacSol AR-22 upper 2 years ago. I'd definitely go with the Quebec. I would also get a free float handguard. I had a BIG difference in accuracy after I put on a FF rail. (even with bulk ammo)

This the best setup for me. Rifle length sight radius. The front sight post wont be so big compared to the carbine length.
