Why not?

I love an existential answer. I recently saw a an AMC Pacer done that way. Scary.

I've seen a Corvette and a Ford Pinto pumped up like that in 1983, at bike week, in Daytona, Fla.

Wicked...to say the least.

There is a mid 70's Licoln Continental done the same way in the Knoxvile area. It is tan and as HUGE as a boat but as in all things unsual or unique I thought it was cool no matter how impractical it might be.

I was just fixin to say I had seen a Pinto like that in Brevard county Fl years ago which is about 70 miles So. of Daytona, I saw it quite often and 1983 seems about right for the time frame, I believe it was white. I have also seen a Vega Station wagon done like that down that way also in the 80's.

A fellow I went to school with did something similar to a '55 or '56 Cadillac hearse.... Later on he used it in truck and tractor pulls.

I've got a buddy here who put a 90's model Cavalier convertible on Toyota 4X4 running gear. He loved his truck, but he also likes to drink and work on things, so that's what he ended up with. It actually turned out pretty good, but my question to him was the same as yours....."Why?"....Weird thing is that his answer to my question was also "Why not?".

Keeping with the topic of "WHY?!"... One of my coworkers was locking up the driver of this fine ride when I had to stop and take a picture.

Nothing says "Yum!" like doggie nuts in your cereal.

Why Not?!!! I like it. I was thinking of doing the same thing to a Mitzubishi 3000GT. . . .:taunt:

Maybe you could go with a "Chiquita Banana" theme on your airplane? You could have the only Banana Bonanza at your local FBO...

Ok.....Maybe I really am getting old, but aside from the stupid trend of having to put a lift kit on a 2wd vehicle in order to fit big rims under it, what the heck is the deal with painting them up with cereal ads? There's one here in town that's ugly as sin, painted up with a Trix theme, and one other one that I can't remember right off. I just thought it had something to do with the owner's nicknames or something, but surely someone's nickname isn't Cinnamon Toast Crunch.........Not to mention the fact that this guy even goes as far as to put the bar code and nutritional facts on his car.

This type of thing really shouldn't be in a thread titled "Why?", it should be in a thread titled "WTF?".

He's not authentic. He's not keeping it real. Not until I see color test blotches you see when you look under the flaps.
