No one, as of current (that I have heard any rumor of), is working to bring the Tavor to the U.S. Charles Daly was the most recent company to toss their hat into the ring, and hoped to manufacture them in the U.S., but they of course went out of business. Barrett initially had interest in this weapon but decided against it several years back.

If you decide to relocate to Canada, you can own one. lol. However, the semi-auto only IWI Tavor does not meet the "sporting purpose" requirement for importation into the States. It is a semi-auto centerfire rifle, it can accept a detachable magazine with a capacity greater than 10 rounds, it has a pistol grip and it has a threaded barrel. All these features disqualifies it from the "sporting purpose" requirement needed for importation.

So... as much as I (and a ton of other people) would like to see it come Stateside... it's not likely to happen anytime soon. Haven't heard of any other manufacturers willing to start producing them here. Sorry.

There is a huge thread in the bullpup subforum at arf.com about it. Started as CD talking about their plans and has since developed into rumor mill central.
