I finally broke down

I finally broke down and decided to get a new toy. I have used a Kimber Tactical HD for quite a while, and I have really liked it. It has been a very reliable gun. However, I have been itching for quite a while to get something just a little bit better. Upon finally deciding to break down and buy something, I went by Hero Gear (very nice folks) last Saturday looking for a new 1911. They didn't have what I wanted so I went by The Outpost Armory (nice folks too) on Sunday. They had what I was looking for, but not the model I wanted.

Determined to get something, I started shopping online Sunday and found what I wanted from Bud's Gun Shop. After talking it over while I was sleeping, I decided to buy it on Monday. I just picked it up from The Shooter's Depot today.

I got a Wilson CQB. It feels great, and I can't wait to give it a run. The only downside to this whole adventure was I bought a Sig P226 X-Five L1 about three weeks ago on top of about 5,000 rounds of practice ammo. I am loving it, but my bank account is crying uncle.

Congrats on your purchase. Once you shoot the Wilson you'll never be satisfied with anything lesser. Great shooting 1911's.

Also like that X-Five; I'd like to pick up a P226 X-Six one of these days.

Absolutely beautiful guns. Shooter's Depot is showing some promise to be a great gun store. I just wish they would get the dang range open.

The last I heard is that the range will be open next week. I am really excited about it. Their hours will be great for me. I currently belong to Carl's range as well as Carter's. I really like Carl, but due to his hours of operation, I can only use the range on Saturdays after his HCP class. I use Carter's during the week. I like everyone at Carter's, but it is out of my way and it is on 58 Hwy (traffic sucks). Shooter's Depot is right on my way home, and the people are very nice.
