Picking up a new pocket gun

Plus one for the Sig P238. I got mine at the first of the year. My wife likes the size and shooting it so I had to get her one also. I love the little thing and carry it as a primary. I know it's usually a back-up gun, but I don't want anyone to know I have it. I can carry it in my back pocket and it looks like a wallet. I can carry it my front pocket just as easy. An officer told me that he might miss it in a pat down thinking it was a wallet. That made him rethink his tactics. As far as shooting, it is outstanding. Very accurate. I'm just under 1000 Rounds and not one problem yet. Back to the primary carry comment before I get whaled on, if I get the first round on target I'm not going to stop there. 2X.380=.760. 3X=1.140 4X=1.520 5X=1.900. Return fire is not expected after that. I'll be mad if I'm wrong.

The P238 is a *really* nice gun. I had the chance to play with one at the gun shop. A bit expensive, but they just feel solid and the fit/finish is top notch.

My P380 Kahr is a SUPER little BUG, or a lone pocket gun for all those situations where I'm "not carrying";) at all. Comes w/ two mags (only slightly larger than a BIC lighter). Load 'em up w/13 rounds of Golden Sabres... Sweet little booger.

(and people - never mind the moons:D)

ive had a p3at and a taurus 85 in the past. now i have a p238 and a glock 26. i pocket carry the glock 26 daily at work and will carry the p238 in the rare instances that i cant get the 26 in tighter fitted pants. may end up carrying the 238 more now that i am trying to get back into a 1911 and away from glocks.

For the love of all that is Holy, no! Not a Taurus pocket pistol!

Just kidding, yours may be fine, but I had the TCP and it was a nightmare. I hope you have better luck.

340PD is the way to go,not only is it lite it is very acurate for a snubby. At the range it is a handful but,in a self defense situation I dont think I would notice the recoil.

The P238 is a fine pocket gun aswell, not as spendy as the 340PD if price is an issue.

I have a taurus 85 and carry it almost daily. In jeans, pocket carry is no good but in a pair of slacks or cargo shorts or anything with fairly big pockets it is nice

I EDC a S&W 642 in front pocket with slacks and jeans. Around the house, I like baggy shorts and oversized T-Shirts. For the "Laid-Back" times I carry a S&W 637 in an Uncle Mikes holster in the right back pocket. As the photos show, it nestles in there real nice. The oversized T-Shirt worn outside completely hides the gun. The 637 is a neat "pocket rocket" for when even Centennial or Bodyguard is just too long.

I would like to check out the Sig P238 and a Beretta Storm Sub Compact in 9mm. I like the idea of a 9mm over the .380 plus the 13 (?) vs. 6 rds. though.
