Anyone have any knowledge about these? I know it's an FN Commercial Mauser but it appears to be a little different than what I can find online. It has a custom adjustable trigger and the stock appears to be custom. It was deer hunted with back in the 50's and 60's so I know it is at least that old.

I would just like to know more about it and about what it's worth. It's not for sale.

That browning scope on there is horrible and needs to go unless there is a way to change the reticle. You can barely see the cross hairs and the dot is tiny. I tried to hunt with it but I have to hunt for the cross hairs too much.

That's a nice rifle. FN is a firearms manufucturer in Belgium, that once manufactured Browning firearms. I believe that is called an FN Supreme. I'm not sure if the stock is original. In the 50s and 60s, custom mauser actioned rifles were the thing, anf a commercial FN action, ar a 1909 Argentine were the ones to have.

I love those actions! Great platform for beautiful rifles.

Thanks guys. This is a great rifle. It was neglected for years so I took it apart to clean it and remove the dull black spray paint the previous owner sprayed on it (same as on the scope attached in the photos). Overall, it's in great shape (including the bore) except for where the magazine rests in the stock, the stock is cracked. You can only see the crack if you take the stock off. No telling how long it has been that way. Think I should try to glue it somehow or just leave it alone?
