Thanks guys. The upper chassis is a pre-fabbed F-toy formula Toyota racing chassis, I am taking it and building a full custom tube sub chassis underneath, 4 links, coilover shocks, and more custom stuff along the way. I'm looking forward to getting it completed over the next few months :)

Keep us updated with info and pics. I would love to be able to "be able" and afford to do this one day!

A project like this can be as expensive or inexpensive as you like. I'm a pretty cheap guy, so I'm doing this a little slower, trading and swapping to get what I want. In case you didn't notice - axles/tires/wheels are all from my 4Runner posted earlier. Other parts I have purchased along the way as well. All told, I'll have less than $10k in this thing - but some build can easily get up in the $30, $40, $50, thousand.... or way more if one desires to go there.

I'm lucky that I have the skills and tools to do much of the work myself - having to pay someone else to do a lot of this stuff is what really starts to add up.

I'll try and keep you guys updated as I make progress.

David, While your at it....How about building me a rear bumper for my 100 series? It need to look like the 4×4 Labs w/ tire swing-out. I'll swing by and pick it up in a couple of weeks. :D BTW, looking forward to watching the build. Are you posting updates on tor or pirate??

Wow Mark, those things ain't cheap!!! I'll whip one out after dinner tonight, ok? lol...

I've got a thread over in the F-toy forum on Pirate right now, but might move it to the Gen4x4 forum eventually since it's really not an F-toy any longer.

I worked on the buggy a little more last night... not much - but came up with a nose design I think I can live with:

Let me know if the pics don't show up... I can see them, not sure about anyone else.

I was shooting for good approach and departure angles... while working within the confines of the existing chassis.
