Welcome to the show.

I have been haunting this place for about 2 months now. I feel like it is a second or third home. Some of the guys will tell you I have wore out my welcome probably, others will just call me a Newb.

Anyways, any questions pick a forum and let them fly.

Glad to have you join us!

Try to find a range that rents guns so you can try a variety.

Welcome from another relative newbie (but long-time lurker).

After the permit class, find some additional training where they let you practice presentations from the holster. Most places call it Level 2 or some such. Then find a local IDPA club where you can start competing. It's fun and better practice than just standing stationary in the booth.

thanks guys.Went to class sunday.I went to C.I.S. in smyrna.Dustin was great I learned alot.I am a total newbie and he was patient and answered all my newbie questions without making me feel like a newbie.Once I get my permit I am really want to take his advanced hcp class. The gun I think I want once I get my permit is a Kel-Tec P-3AT 380.It is small and will fit in a pocket.

I love my Kel-Tec for my carry. You will definitely want to have something else to take classes with though. Kel-Tec's have a long trigger pull and your finger will be sore after the first fifty rounds. Hubby has the 380 which has a little more kick to it than my .32.
