Starcraft 2 Beta - Phase Two

Started last night for those in the beta. I didnt receive any kind of word on it, just happened to run the patcher out of curiosity and it downloaded two patches and let me in around 10pm last night.

Only played one match as Terran, but I did notice some new music, and it seemed to run much more smoothly than I remember from Phase 1. They also unlocked all the AI difficulties if you arent quite up to playing people yet and want some practice with something that will at least fight back.

I never liked playing against the AI on the first one I had for N64. My brother and I would always split up the map so resources and territory were divided equally, we would build up as much crap as we could and then we would wage complete all out war and see who won. The computer tries to fight the instant they've built one unit.

You should try the PC version, AI is a bit smarter than that usually. SC2 AI is actually pretty darn good from what the game I played last night. Tried it on medium difficulty agianst 1 AI, and it actually had me working a bit. Will try it on hard and very hard tonight with several AI and see how that goes.

It got to the point where my brother banned certain units because of how badly I decimated his defences with them.

And I see they didnt nerf void rays at all haha.

We played an island map. I played Protos he played Terran. I built nothing but fully upgraded carriers. They were able to deploy their interceptors out of range of his missile turrets. The missiles couldn't target the carriers and were too slow to hit the intercepters. After that he wouldn't let me use the carriers.
