I'm taking this weekend off from work, and there is a 3-gun competition at Cleveland (CHRPC)

How many rounds per gun do I need to tote along?

anybody got any pointers? Never shot any competitions before.

Planning on brining my AR-15 (Iron sights only).

Glock 19 w/ factory sights

Winchester 1300 Defender

I've got some tac-gear for AR/pistol mags, the Win.1300 has a side saddle, butt cuff & I've got a shot shell belt also.

Depends on the course of fire. Most times that info should be on the page about the competition. Most matches I have shot suggest 100 rifle, 100 pistol and 50 shotgun.

My only pointer is go and have fun. Look at all the different set ups and figure out which works best for you. I run AR with irons, xD 45 and Remington 870 with extended tube.

Enjoy and safe shooting.

just be sure to go,(dont chicken out) and be safe, ask questions, and have fun!

if you have a chamber flag bring it.

check at rangeissafe.com

Looks like you will need a rifle sling & 10 slugs.

Next option would be to call Price or Skip.

Did you go to the range to find out the match was canceled? I didn't see on the CHRPC or Southern Action websites that it was canceled.

Standing competitors up is a good way to kill a following.

I drove two and a half hours each way to go to that match. I got there at 9:15 to help set up and found out that the match director, Price, threw a hissy fit and left because no one was there at 9:00 to help set up. I wasn't the only one standing around saying what the heck. It was a real disappointment. I won't ever go back out there for a match. That sort of behavoir is completetly unacceptable. We need a monthly 3-gun match in middle TN.

That's what I was afraid of, CHRPC has a nice range and the ability to put on a great match but Price does need some dependable local help to make it happen.

No excuses for standing people up when you're there though....
