Cool. What is the trigger pull on that thing. I wonder if they'll phase out the Sigma with this thing out now.

Nice. I kinda figure the Sigma is history with this thing out. Held on in Franklin last week and it felt nice. Trigger similar to the M&P, not quite as smooth but could be with some break in I'm surmising. Congrats on the new toy.

Looks like a M&P slide on a Sigma frame.

Trigger's about 8lb. , after 500rd. if it hasn't lighten any I'll have to do a fluff and buff, better than the Sigma's but not as good as the M&P. I really like the grip-frame feels really good in my hand, not "blocky", sights are good and quick to pick-up. The bad.... mags rattle when loaded, no problem with them just noisy, rattles like a old GI 1911. Would I buy another? Yes ! The trigger feels lighter than it is, no stacking, starts at 8lb. and pulls smoothly all the way. Re-set is longer than an M&P more Sigma like. I shoot a SA Mil-Spec 45 and a few Glocks, so I'm quite spoiled by a short re-set. After 50rd. or so, I got used to it, and my double tap times were pretty good ,for a new gun. Fit and finish is quite good ( except for the cheap sounding mags.), With the price running only about $ 50 more than a Sigma, I don't see how someone would buy the Sigma, Still ,it's not an M&P and at about $130 less , if ya want a 4in 40cal. gun, I don't see ya do'n better for the price. If the SD9 shoots as good as this 40, they'll give the G19 a real run for their money.

I guess I've had my head buried in the sand for awhile, but I didn't even know they came out with an "upgraded" Sigma. It looks good, though....Congrats

Me, too. I've got a Sigma 40 that John Wall at Eastside Gun worked on and it's pretty good. Has a smoother, lighter trigger and feels very much like my Glock 22 to me. But even so, an upgrade to the Sigma platform is a good thing.

The guy at Gunblast reviewed the SD40, good coments, but I will admit, I take his reviews with a grain of salt, he must get "ringers ", because his review of the DB 380 was " glowing", and all the reviews by owners, on here, say it has real problems. That's not the only one, still, I like the guy ,and he can shoot. Guess his mags for the SD40 didn't rattle like a "can of marbles" when loaded, like mine do. They work good ,just make the gun "sound" cheap ,when handled. I disagree that the SD40 is as good as the M&P40, much higher quality on the M&P. Still, even with the change-able back-straps, I like the SD40's grip better, now if I could only get the trigger as good as the M&P's , I'd have something!!

Neat gun, as far as the mag rattle my M&P9c 10rd mag did the same thing....i contacted smith and wesson and they said they knew of the problem but didnt have a fix...they did offer to swap out my mags though for a non-compliance state 12rd'er

Jeff Quinn never met a gun he didn't like!!

I got to handle one of those at TCGD the other day and being a former Sigma owner I'll weigh in. The frame seemed a bit thinner to me but it had the same great ergonomics of the Sigma. I liked the slide a whole lot better and the trigger was a huge improvement. IIRC these will be the replacements for the Sigma line as evidenced by the recent renewal of the rebtes on the Sigmas (to get the stock cleared out). If I werent looking for something in a sub-compact frame I might have been persuaded to pick one up.
