Recipe advice for AR...223....1 in 7 twist....16" barrel @ 200-400 yards?

Recommended Posts

Hello all...........I want to first state that I am very new to the reloading scene. As a matter a fact I will be using a friends set up. I currently want to start shooting 200 yards plus using my CMMG 1 in 7 twist chrome lined 16" AR. Does anyone have any advice for me?? What to do or NOT to do? I intend on buying a bolt action in the future for more serious stuff but want to get started with something I already have. I have only shot at 100 yards with my deer rifle..............7mm Mag.

With the 1-7 I would mabey spend a little cash and get some good 62 gr. Really you should just buy a little ammo of different types and shoot it. See what your rifle likes.
