He stated that he did. And I noticed him speaking to the clerks when I entered. He may not have, though. He lied about being a LEO, could have been lying about that, too.

Buster's in Memphis is massive. They always have one armed, and if it's a busy holiday, usually have two.

+1. If the owner has this individual in his or her employ and knows what he is doing, so be it. If not, they need to be aware of what he is doing on their premises.

I would call and talk to the owner of the store and let him know what happened and that until the problem is solved that you and your money are going elsewhere.

Used to frequent a downtown liquor store many years ago. Nice old guys. They were not in the greatest part of town and did a whole lot of business in paycheck cashing. Lots of folks would visit every Friday to cash the paycheck and buy a weekend bottle. Lots of cash in the store.

They had a little room near the front with one-way mirror glass on the door. They would pay a feller to sit in the little room with a shotgun in his lap. Dunno if they were ever held up.

I don't know how common such a security arrangement that would be. But maybe some liquor stores have 'not immediately obvious' security like that?

you really need to follow up on that.. we have so many "wanna be" cops running around GOODLETTSVILLE its not even funny.

I'd call the owner and tell him what happened ... insist on him giving you the name of the "officer" he had working there that night... if he said he didnt have one then you need to let him know how you were questioned and detained by an individual that informed you he was a police officer... Explain how your a good customer and didnt deserve such treatmnt. Tell him you intend on filing charges against that individual.... then also inform him of how many NRA members are in Tn, how many HCP holders in Tn and the surrounding countys... Davidson, Sumner, Robertson(state has these figures).... you get the picture!!!

Wife's liquor store does not have a security guard, EVERYONE there is carrying.
