Interesting. That GI 50 reminds of the old saying, "I carry a .45 because they don't make a .46." Problem solved!

With the 45 conversion and 5 mags for each the price is close to 4K! The remaining question is model 1, 2 or 3?

If you are going to spend that for a pistol the least you could do is get the BIG ONE with the ability to also shoot 45 acp. That way you can practice with WWB.

Where is the drooling smiley? I am getting excited thinking about it!!!!! Send the ambulance I think this is the Big one! :drunk:

4k!??? Anyone rather have a Wilson Combat and some money left over for ammo?....lol

I'm not seeing anything that would make me want to buy this instead of 3 Kimber's or a Wilson Combat. Ugly grips, finish looks kinda shabby in pics, so imagine what it looks like in person, solid trigger looks like what you would get on a Rock Island Armory.....I'm just not that impressed.

Ahh, ok I didn't see that. We'll sign me up for a Desert Eagle then...lol Yeah the S&W 500's are hand cannons, there's no concealing one of those. I thought they made them in short barrels too? I've seen people on TV who live in Alaska that carry them for defense against Bears.

Anyway, a 1911 is suppossed to shoot a .45. I wouldn't have it any other way... It's a cool gun I guess, but is only going to appeal to a small crowd of people who have 4k to blow on a hand held rocket launcher.

And of course Desert Rat, you might be one of them...lol

You guys are obviously not looking at the same pistol that I linked, the No Name is a .45ACP that is the one I will get, MSRP is $2495.00 I will get it for less than that I am not interested in the .50 with the .45 conversion, I like my 1911's in .45ACP only

#NN45 “Pistol with no Name”, .45 ACP (5" - full size) $2495 Taken from Guncrafters price list

The finish is melonite, it is not made for looks it is made for durability. I shot a GI .50 and the fit and finish impressed the heck out of me,You would cringe if you saw how shabby the Diamond Black looks on my Nighthawk pistol but it does what it is supposed to do. To me anyway this is a perfect no nonsense pistol

My point was the 50 with the 45 conversion wold be my preference rather than just the custom 45. I was adding extra mags for both rounds and the conversion kit along with ammo. The Pistol with no name is nice but I would go the extra for the versatility. Along with model 2 for the rail. You can upgrade the model 1 and 2 finish and grips.
