Pistols 357 mag, 45 ACP, 44 mag, 6mm-225, 32 ACP, 380 ACP. Shot gun, 12 Ga, buckshot and slugs. Rifles. 22lr, 243, 25-06, 6.5X55 Swede, 264 Win mag, 270, 7mm Rem mag, 30-30 Win, 30X47 HBR, 308, 30-06, 45-70, 50 cal muzzle loader and bow and arrow and I probably miss a caliber or two. I have killed so many deer over the past 35 years I can't remember all the calibers. I have killed many deer with eachof the ones stated. I have killed well over 200 deer with a 25-06. For 15 years I helped my buddy do control work on a big NC farm where we had to take 100 deer each year for crop damage control.

I've shot several with 12ga slugs. The first one I shot was with 00 buckshot. Before anyone says anything about hunting with illegal equipment (buckshot), it wasn't illegal. All the deer I've shot were being put down after getting hit by motor vehicles. TWRA will let us (LE) shoot 'em with whatever works. I will say, though, that this was before I knew that "buckshot" wasn't legal for "bucks" when hunting. One of my co-workers was explaining that to me later. I thought it was the dumbest thing ever (especially considering how well it worked!) ;)

This will be my first year actually hunting. Hoping to take one (or two eventually) with a .300 Win Mag!

I also find it pretty ironic that "Buck" shot is illegal for hunting Deer.

Only things I've taken a deer down with are a .270 win and a 7.62x39 out of all the many SKS' that I've owned over the years. 1-shot-drop at 125-150 yards with Iron sights is pretty easy on one of those to be honest. Haven't had to fire twice yet.

30-30 Winchester

7mm Remington Magnum

9mm +P to the head to finish one off.

Buckshot does wonders on deer close up in the thickets. I have seen several deer shot with buckshot. 00 Buckshot makes a big crater in a deer. It is legal to use in Arkansas on deer during gun season in most of the state. I believe #4 buckshot in a 20 GA is the smallest for buckshot and no buckshot in a 410.

.270 Winchester 130 grain. Never have seen a need for any thing else inside 200yrds - and that is the farthest I have ever even thought of having a shot.
